KTM 390 Adventure has been introduced with 19/17 inch spoke wheels with aluminium rims.

The bike will get new orange body graphics and updated exhaust colour.

KTM fans! Here is the news you were waiting for. The Austrian automaker has finally heard your feedback and given the much-needed update to its 390 Adventure. Yes, the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure now comes with spoke wheels which were anticipated for years. The new variant SW will be sold alongside the regular variant in the line-up.

The addition of spoke wheels is part of the 2023 update. The new wired spoke wheels will be available with aluminium rims. However, on the downside, the company is still using the 19/17 inch setup, rather than the matured 21-inch front ones, which means the motorcycle is still fully not capable of bending and flexing to a certain degree on rough surfaces.

However, the aluminium rims will enhance performance while handling large impediments on rough terrains, which couldn’t have been possible with the cast wheels. Other changes include the new orange graphics across the bike, reflecting the racing livery of the company and the new exhaust colour.

The mechanics have remained untouched with the same 373cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 43.5PS and 37Nm torque, synced with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Likewise, the features remain identical with a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, optional turn-by-turn navigation, 12-volt charging port, split LED headlight, split-seat setup and split-styled taillight.

The bike continues to retain the steel trellis frame and uses the WP Apex suspension at both ends, with disc brakes and a cornering anti-lock braking system for further ensuring safety under panic braking. However, one thing that could have made a world of difference in the driving experience is the softer suspension. Moreover, sprockets would have further enhanced the low-end grunt.

The SW variant is currently priced at 6,699 GBP, which translates to approximately Rs. 6.70 lakhs in India, while the regular variant costs 6,299, which is around Rs. 6.30 lakh. The bike is expected to make its way into the Indian market, as there are plenty of KTM fans here. The 390 Adventure currently rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the more premium BMW G 310 GS.
